FFXII fic! Like something out of the past, I know! I've had something like 3.5k words of this... forever. The Google Docs timestamp on this said I hadn't worked on it at all for exactly six months. >_>

But I thought about it today, and so I thought I'd poke at it and see if I could finish it. Because, you see - and this is the part where you all get to laugh at me - this was supposed to be laylah's birthday present last year. orz

This takes place a little bit past where the anime is now (episode 165), but any spoilers are mostly shounen-manga spoilers - that is, for what people fight each other and what their cool new powers are, and not for the actual plot. Plot? What plot? Bleach asks me. This is the part that's about FIGHTING. And I find myself unable to argue. So, y'know, if anyone wanted to read it without context. *cough*

...Just keep in mind: You have no idea how much of this I am not making up.

That said, I actually am pretty happy with this one right now! Certainly lots more than I was yesterday. Enough that now I can probably go read sister_coyote's version with only slight forebodings of inadequacy. ^^;
